 Description THEATRE SCRUB NURSE JOB IN SUSSEX (Haywards Heath) Salary £26,000-£28,000 (Monday - Friday Job, 37.5 Hours) EXPERIENCED THEATRE NURSE/ODP SPECIALIST IN SCRUB PROCEDURES This specialist Theatre Scrub Nurse job in Sussex will recognise your expert skills and knowledge of scrub procedures in a modern nursing environment. Working within a leading provider of innovative care, you'll enjoy progressive nursing as part of a government initiative offering fast, same day or short stay surgery and diagnostic procedures in the Sussex NHS Treatment Centre. As Scrub Nurse you will directly contribute to the day to day running of the operating theatre suite, ensuring the provision of outstanding care and services in keeping with the philosophies of the organisation. Skills Candidates should be a Registered General Nurse and have knowledge of, and understand the correct Scrub procedures/responsibilities including: - Provide peri-operative care appropriate to individual surgical needs of patient. - Responsible for the accurate accounting of all disposable and non-disposable instrumentation before, during and following a clinical procedure. - Ensure the safe positioning and transfer of patients within the department in accordance with trust and theatre policy and procedures. - Ensure availability and readiness of all equipment and instrumentation before anaesthesia commences in all cases.
